1118 Cortelyou Rd., Ditmas Park
What it is: A bricky, woody destination bar and flower shop combo that’s one of the biggest reasons under-30s are rediscovering the once-sleepy hamlet of Ditmas Park.
Why we love it: Intimate concert space downstairs, perfect garden in the back and the world’s nicest person selling flowers in front. The backyard is home to BBQs, pig roasts, Brooklyn Cyclones parties and any number of other neighborhood events.
Who to bring: All those people who have always wondered about this semi-rural neighborhood but never been; a date who will be impressed when you can buy them a beer and a bouquet at the same time.
What to order: Beef jerky, followed by another selection from the rotating beer supply. Repeat.
Sycamore fun fact: The bar also has one of largest American whiskey selections in the five boroughs.

Watch out for the strollers during the unofficial "Mommies Happy Hour" though. There's a reason Ditmas is becoming the new Park Slope.
I like this is so nice.
