When it comes to fashion, I’m all about retro and vintage style. I love one-of-a-kind or rare pieces that I know I won’t be able to find easily. I also, of course, live on a budget, which means I can’t spend whatever I want on clothes. This is why I rely on the vintage and thrift stores in Brooklyn for my look. Here are some of my favorites in Greenpoint, a neighborhood known for its style.
Beacon’s Closet
74 Guernsey St
This is a huge space with well-curated clothes, shoes, bags, and home-ware that are not only rich in style, but priced fairly and in excellent condition. Some items are new (like their collection of sunglasses) while some are deliciously retro.
Monk Vintage
496 Driggs Ave
Monk is a two-story thrift store with a bit of everything for amazing prices. The men’s collection is also decently sized here.
Fox & Fawn
570 Manhattan Ave
This store has been around for over 10 years, specializing in vintage fashion that is affordable and in good condition. You can also sell your clothes or trade your clothes here (35 percent cash or 55 percent trade).
