1. Cheer for ceramics at the Brooklyn Clay Tour, three days of exhibitions and events focusing on the borough’s ceramic arts community. (All weekend, varies)

2. Get chronologically confused at The History of the Future, with lectures on the science of steampunk, cities of futures past, and the next generation of spacesuits. (Friday, Union Hall, $10)

3. Fête fantastic felines at The Amazing Acro-Cats, a troupe of performing house cats who skate on skateboards and jump through hoops — with proceeds going to mobile foster and rescue efforts. (All weekend, Brooklyn Music School, $25)

4. Prove that DIY will never die at the Pet Rescue Four-Year Anniversary Weekend, with a dozen bands over two days, including The Royal They, El Silver Cabs, Holly Overton, and Milk Dick. (Friday & Saturday, Pet Rescue, $6)

5. Find your sexy Millennial mate at Young, Hot, Sluts, a modern IRL dating show hosted by Carly Ann Filbin. (Friday, Vital Joint, $7)
