Today from the Department of Horatio Algerism, LAist reports a homeless man walks around LA handing out his resume in an attempt to get off the streets. And save for a few errors, it’s in not-too-shabby shape (we’ve certainly seen worse, from people who presumably have homes). He’s a native New Yorker, too. LAist (that’s Gothamist’s smoggy, Lakers-rooting cousin) says others have spotted similar incidents, including someone in Santa Monica who has a sign saying something like “Not looking for a handout. Hire me! Resume ready.” Anyone seen this kind of thing in New York? (Or maybe our shelters are just too nice?) What do you make of it? Full resume below.
Would you hire a homeless person with a resume?
