8pm: The Hasidic Hendrix? The Sephardic Santana? You decide as Israeli rocker Yosi Piamenta presents a tribute to Jimi Hendrix @ Southpaw, $12 advance, $20 door.

TUESDAY
8pm: The “Lost” season premiere @ The Bell House‘s main space is sold out, but the front room will be open with the comedy of Sara Schaefer, Kim Armstrong, Kristen Schaal and others. (Take it easy, Freckles… you can still head to Brooklyn Bowl to see what happens on The Island). Free.

WEDNESDAY
8pm: Catch a preview of a musical stage adaptation of Melvin Van Peebles’s influential 1971 film, “Sweet Sweetback’s Baadasssss Song” (before it goes to Paris!). Followed by discussion with Van Peebles and the artists. BRICstudio, $10 (thru Friday).

THURSDAY
8pm: The hirsute and admirers thereof have plenty to celebrate at the 2010 Beard Ball. Proceeds from drink specials and raffles benefit RightRides.org. Matchless, $5.
