This weekend: ‘Bad’ short plays, hemp-bag sprout growing, Super Bowl specials

(thru 2/27): The Debate Society presents “You’re Welcome,” a cycle of 5 bad short plays. Most likely very good. The Brick Theater, $18.

Ra Ra Riot + The Antlers is sold out, but there are still 50+ other bands you can check out throughout the borough during the Sounds Like Brooklyn music festival.

SATURDAY
5-11pm: The Brooklyn Museum’s free First Saturday celebrates Black History Month with bands, screenings, a Mardi-Gras dance party, more!

9pm: The 90’s live at the “Totally Freakin’ Awesome” 90’s variety show. Followed by a dance party to make you sweat. The House of Yes, $10-20 (sliding scale).

11pm: A sold out show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg won’t slow Hot Chip down from bringing a dj set/after party (with live performance from We Are Wolves) to Brooklyn Bowl. $10

SUNDAY
2:30pm:
Learn to grow your own nutritious sprouts in a hemp bag in just 4-6 days with minimal effort. Really! Vox Pop, free.

What? Growin’ sprouts ain’t tough enough for ‘ya? Well, we hear there’s a little football sports contest going on later in the day if that’s more your speed. Among the many venues showing the game, Littlefield will have food and drink specials, and Galapagos‘s pre-game show features Sugar Shack Burlesque ($5)
