The Bushwick Coffee Shop calls Jews ‘greedy infiltrators’

Got a decent amount of likes though

Some people use Instagram to post interesting pictures or promote their business. Other people use Instagram to promote the fact that they don’t care for “the Jews.” Whoever is running the Instagram account for The Bushwick Coffee Shop (203 Wilson Avenue), most likely owner Michael Avila, who posted the same rant to Facebook, took time out of posting selfies, inspirational image macros and coffee pictures to post a picture of the words “greedy infiltrators” and then commented with a long screed about Jews buying Bushwick and how glad he was his neighbor didn’t sell to Jews, who “function via greed and dominance.” The screenshots are captured below, but we know someone who isn’t being invited over for latkes this year.

  • I am not a coffee drinker, but since this is close to my place and I don't own a TV I think I'll stop by and see the fallout in person just to pass the time.

  • Wait, how did he take a photo of his own comment on the photo before the post was posted? Something is fishy here.

  • any publicity is good publicity, especially for an otherwise anonymous coffee shop in a mostly anonymous part of the city.

  • My new way to escape any argument I know I can't win is, "My problem is not actually [topic of conversation]. It's the hashtags listed above."

And then maybe something about Roseanne.

  • Oh the irony... Bushwick was a longtime Jewish neighborhood before the hispanics forced them all out.

Tell him to go read, "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn."

  • Hopefully his business die a slow painful death and he develops some bed-ridden disease that keeps him in the hospital for 5-10 years...

  • I'm a steady customer at this coffeeshop since it's around the corner from my apartment.

My landlord is a hasidic Jew with the full costume.. for the past 6 years.

I don't know many great and honest people like him.
Honestly, I also couldn't believe it in the beginning here (after being raised with all those stories and ideologies..) But that's my good experience as well as my neighbors.

We recently discussed this topic at a BBQ grill we had in the backyard..

I would like to ask you please to get in better coffee, it's sometimes really challenging to begin the day with this one. Please.

    Thank you
