Each day we get closer to our promised hot and miserable summer (we’ll take any summer at this point), we get a little bit more information as to the fun things happening all season. Today? We get the good news that SummerStage is back and has a bunch of free (and also not free) shows for us. Get your very uncomfortable thong on and prepare to back it up all night long, because SisQó is headlining a show. Yes, in 2014, you wiseass. The full schedule of Brooklyn events is below.

June 22, 3pm: Barlosolo Cirkus Company (Brooklyn Family Day)
June, 25 7pm: Amber Wagner, Jamie Barton and Russell Thomas (Metropolitan Opera Summer Series)
So yeah, things are a little light when it comes to the Brooklyn events, which seems wrong considering that Mayor “Red” Bill de Blasio was supposed to be moving all of New York’s power to Brooklyn. But whatever, a free SisQó show and a Frankie Knuckles tribute are cool. If you’re the type that travels out of Brooklyn, some highlights for you could be hanging outside the outdoor venue at Central Park and listening to Beck on July 1 at 7pm and the free Mobb Deep show at Queensbridge Park on July 17 at 7pm. This is of course, just the first drop in the bucket of fun summer things, so let’s start getting really really excited.
