If you were thinking about skipping out on work tomorrow because, “Oh man, the subway…it’s just so hard to get around, you know?” your excuse may have just taken a hit. Governor Cuomo and the MTA have announced limited subway service opening around the city, starting tomorrow. While a lot of Brooklyn is still without service, the following lines will be up and running in Kings County tomorrow starting at 6am:
The 5 train will be running express between Atlantic Ave-Barclays and Flatbush Avenue
A trains will run between Jay Street-MetroTech and Lefferts Blvd
The D train is running between Atlantic Avenue and Bay Parkway, making express stops between Pacific Street and 36th Street
The F train is running between Jay Street-MetroTech and Avenue X
The J will be running between Jamaica Center and Hewes Street
The L train is running between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Parkway
The M will run between Myrtle Avenue-Broadway and Metropolitan Avenue
The R will run between Jay Street-MetroTech and 95th Street
In addition to the subways serving Brooklyn, three shuttle busses will be running from north-south from Brooklyn into the city, if you have to get there: one running over the Manhattan Bridge between Atlantic Ave-Barclays to Lexington Ave-57th Street, the second also over the Manhattan Bridge between Jay Street-MetroTech and 57th Street-Lexington Avenue and the third running over the Williamsburg Bridge between Hewes Street and 57th Street-Lexington Avenue. The Times has the full breakdown of transit restorations for once you in to Manhattan.
UPDATE: Via Gothamist and their talented tipster Zach van Schouwen comes a partial-service subway map:
