It was briefly up for debate whether the Freedom Tower would be ruled the tallest building in America, due to whether or not the spire at the top of the building counted towards its height. Well, that argument is over, because Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat has ruled that One World Trade Center is officially 1,776 feet tall, which makes it officially taller than the 1,450-foot tall Willis Tower in Chicago. Suck it, Banksy! Suck it, other places in America! New York’s number one!
