No L train from Bushwick to Williamsburg late night

Byeeeee. via Flickr user Ken

You and the L train, you were buddies for a while. You had good times, what the reliable-ish service and the fancy countdown clocks and the way you were ferried from one Williamsburg to the next one down the line. Now though, things have turned. It’s constantly broken, we’ve got a massive springtime shutdown coming and before that even shows up, DNA Info is reporting you get to enjoy the L train not running between Lorimer Street and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenue until the end of March.

Have to get between Bushwick and Williamsburg late at night for any reason between now and March 20? Too bad! From now until then, the L train won’t be running between Lorimer Street and Myrtle-Wyckoff from 11:45pm to 5am, Monday through Friday. It’s a good thing this is perfect weather for waiting outside for a shuttle bus, huh? The culprit, as always, is track work, with the MTA needing to fix up tracks around the Lorimer Street stop. For what, exactly? We’re not sure, we guess it’s for all the trains not running past Lorimer starting on March 24.
