We know the entire fashion world worships Rodarte sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy, but does anyone else think their Target collaboration—coming in December—looks just a bit dreadful? Marie Claire magazine scored some pics of the breathlessly awaited items and they look like something you’d unload at a clothing swap. Put that polyester fleece back in Grandpa’s slippers where it belongs! Nitrolicious has the pics for you to admire, and The Cut has some too. And just for comparison, here’s the real stuff: Rodarte’s ready-to-wear runway collections from fall 2009 and spring 2010. We love a bargain as much as the next person and probably more, but this looks like early proof that not everything can be cheaped down successfully.

Totally ... this line does not translate. How will that dress with the skeleton look in size 14? isn't that weird?
