Are you sitting there frothing at the mouth yet in anticipation of full-on summer, straining against your cubicle walls with the thoughts of skipping work early on Fridays to hit the beach, itching to rip off your boring khakis and wear nothing but jorts jorts jorts for the next three months? Let us throw some more ants into your pants: the Red Hook Flicks free summer movie series released its schedule last night, which starts July 10 on the Valentino Pier. Not only is the series a great reason to check out the oft-overlooked nabe, the theme is “Scary Monsters and Super Freaks,” which includes movies ranging from Alien (way better than Prometheus, fyi) to Young Frankenstein (widely known as one of the best movies ever made). The full list below:
Movies are shown on the Valentino Pier at dusk. (Don’t forget you’ve also got a summer of free movies at McCarren and Brooklyn Bridge Parks too!)

July 17: TREMORS
July 24: HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON
