RAFFLE PRIZE OF THE CENTURY: 3rd Ward class

The creative juggernaut that is 3rd Ward is bringing you our next birthday raffle prize: a free class of your choice at the Williamsburg design center. That’s right, you’ll be schooled in screen printing, jewelry making, photography, welding, woodworking, video editing in the sleek media lab, urban ecology or one of many, many others. Just take your pick. Besides providing fun (and functional!) classes, 3rd Ward brings Brooklyn’s creative community together. And as we celebrate Brokelyn’s birthday, we’re also celebrating 3rd Ward’s. Happy fourth birthday, 3rd Ward! We love you!

If you aren’t the lucky winner for this raffle prize (but you will be, don’t worry), you can still get involved with the special events and art openings happening all the time. Try the weekly and very popular Drink N Draw every Wednesday from 8 to 10 p.m.—they provide the live models and FREE BEER, you bring your paper and drawing utensils. Other ongoing events include Movie House—screening the best works of our Brooklyn filmmakers, and Sweatshop Social the last Monday of every month, where you can make all sorts of crafty stuff.

3rd Ward also has a variety of memberships, giving people pretty much full access to their facilities. If you don’t think you can get over there to take advantage of a membership, don’t worry, ANY MEMBERSHIP comes with a FREE CUSTOM BIKE. Get the full membership and 3rd Ward hands you a Mac Book to play with in their media lab.
