Last week we told you about the Brooklyn Young Republican Club having their winter social. We are nothing if not fair and balanced, so for those of you who lean left, here you are: the Brooklyn Young Democrats are having their 2013 Winter Party tomorrow. The party is open to non-members, and presumably will be quite a scene: Bloomberg is on his way out, Obama is staying put and the Republican party looks like it’s imploding.
The mild-mannered rager will be taking place tomorrow at the Downtown Ale House at 121 Livingston Street, a location that, like democracy, is friendly, accessible and aesthetically safe. Tickets are $10 for students, $20 for members ($25 at the door), and $30 for non-members. The price may seem a little steep, but should you elect to join the Young Democrats, the admission fee will go towards your 2013 membership dues.
According to their Facebook page, “it’s not uncommon for politicos to show up without warning,” so keep your Twitter handle to yourself if Anthony Weiner shows up.
