What to wear on your summer paycation

It doesn’t quite seem quite right that someone as talented as art director Irina Blok is actually looking for work, but the creator of a clever new “Funemployed” tshirt and button line lives in SF—so maybe things are even worse out there. Despite being a West Coaster she’s the Brokelyn hero of the week for her new custom-printed résumé tshirts ($50 a piece) and lapel pins (just $2) created for “people that still have sense of humor about the situation.” A new mantra for the nouveau poor: “I buy caviar with food stamps.” [via Josh Spear]

Faye :Faye Penn is the founder of Brokelyn and publisher of the Brooklyn and Queens Beer Books, the Brooklyn Cocktail Book and other stuff you ain't seen yet. She lives in Ditmas Park. Get at her at brokelyn@gmail.com
