The Downtown Brooklyn Partnership announced the inaugural Make It in Brooklyn Innovation Summit, which will be held June 25, 2015 at locations throughout the Brooklyn Cultural District.
The summit will bring together 300 of Brooklyn’s leading innovators, makers, builders, and entrepreneurs to explore how Brooklyn can continue its ascent as an international center for commerce and culture.
Discussion topics will include real estate, the arts, tech innovation, restaurant management and the future of manufacturing in the borough. The event will culminate with a pitch contest, where Brooklyn startups will pitch their best ideas to a panel of industry leaders with $50,000 in seed funding on the line.
The day starts at 8 a.m. with a real estate breakfast held at BAM Lepercq Space. There will be a food truck lunch and a cocktail hour right before the pitch contest.
Tickets are on sale at makeitinbk.com. Use code BROKELYN at check-out for $50 off full-day passes.
