Food trucks are a new way of life around here. Well, maybe not that new, but they’ve certainly been an inescapable part of life in Brooklyn for awhile. And that’s great, because food should come to you. And with the weather warming up, the library knows just how to take advantage of the food truck craze: hosting one a week at their central location for a month, starting tomorrow. Welcome, to Lunchapalooza!
Every Wednesday from 11:30am to 1:30pm, the central branch of the Brooklyn Public Library (10 Grand Army Plaza), will host a different food truck outside of the library. In addition to food, there’ll be storytelling for children from 11:30am to 12:15pm, followed by a musical performance from 12:30pm to 2pm for those of you without kids. But of course, all you’re worried about is the food. Makes sense. Here’s what you can eat and when:
May 22: GO Burger
May 29: Palenque
June 5: Eddie’s Pizza
June 12: Taco Bite
June 19: Shorty’s
June 26: Go Burger
So! Go have a lunch break worth looking forward to, and eat outside. Oh, and as long as you’re taking advantage of the library’s hospitality, why not sign the petition asking the city not to cut their budget by 36%. Unless you hate books or something.
