Do you constantly regale your friends with the story of Everest? Insist that 24 is the highest number? Worried that you’ve been spreading your life too thin because you’re always spreading mayostard and mustardayonnaise? Well have we got good news for you: David Cross and Bob Odenkirk of Mr. Show fame are heading out on the road for a small tour and to promote their new book Hollywood Said NO!, and both book tour and show tour start right here in Brooklyn. We’re so excited we could blow up the moon!
Cross and Odenkirk’s book will be a rundown of projects the two tried to get off the ground only to have Hollywood execs not take any interest because seriously, fuck those guys. As befitting any tortured comic geniuses, the tour will kick off in Brooklyn, on September 12, with a book release party at powerHouse Arena (37 Main Street, DUMBO). Following that, the two will make their way to the Town Hall theatre for a stand up show (with Brian Posehn!), because life is precious, and God and the Bible. Tickets for the show on September 13 go on sale at noon on Friday, so be sure to snap them up, lest your only entertainment options for that night turn out to be Coupon: The Movie or seeing some megaphone crooners.
