Oh summer, where did you go? It seems like only yesterday we were imagining a season full of splashing in the pristine new waters of the re-opened McCarren Pool, but then months of poo clouds and floaters and roving bands of Lord of the Flies characters kept us away. As Curbed reminds us, all the city’s free pools (McCarren and all these too) close for the season at the end of the day Monday, which means this weekend is your last chance to get dive on in. After that, it’s nine horrible months of pants and indoor living again.
