Have a good weekend guys? Avoid being trapped by hipsters? Maybe do a little repenting? Did you go to Jackie’s Fifth Amendment expecting to have a very meaningful time because it was supposed to close Saturday? Well, we’ve got good news and bad news. The bad news is that you didn’t have a meaningful experience, because of the good news, which is that the bar is still open. For how much longer, no one knows. While Jackie’s is definitely still closing forever, a bartender told The L that the bar will now be open until mid-October as the owner takes his time cleaning out the basement. Still, she said that the bar was definitely sold, the pharmacy next door will definitely be taking over the space, and also that no one actually knows what day it’s closing. So, if you didn’t get Saturday, you’ve got another chance. Why not just start going every day between now and whenever the mysterious closing date is? It’s not like you’ve got anything else to do.
