Help out the Bushwick Starr at a Taste of Bushwick in June

In addition to being delicious, this Cuban supports theater. via Facebook

Trip on the sidewalk in Bushwick and the odds are you’ll find yourself sprawled out on the ground in front of a restaurant (and everyone will be laughing at you). Bushwick has so many restaurants that even if you live there you might not be able to afford to try all of them. Until now, because eight of Bushwick’s best food spots are inviting you out to a night to of gluttony in support of theater at A Taste of Bushwick on June 16.

The food sampling marathon is going down at The Bushwick Starr (207 Starr Street) on June 16 from 6:30pm to 9pm. During those two and a half hours, you can sample all the grub you can eat from the Northeast Kingdom, Cafe Ghia, Arepera Guacuco, Heavy Woods pop up Tchoup Shop, Cafeteria La Mejor, Fritzl’s Lunch Box, Los Hermanos Tortilleria and Boar’s Head for just $35. Plus, The Sampler, Bodega and Henry’s Wine & Spirit will be providing booze to wash it all down.

Not only will you be eating because you need food to keep your body going, but with all proceeds going to support the 2014-15 season at the Bushwick Starr, which you can read about here, you can feel good and call yourself a cultured person even if you don’t have patience for theater. And aside from eating delicious food, life is all about appearing to be smarter and more mature than you are.
