1. Check out a punk rock holiday benefit show at the Trash Bar. It benefits punk rock people like drug users and sex workers. (Friday)

2. Head to Videology to meet the Feebles. They sound friendly, but the Feebles are actually puppets on drugs. (Friday)

4. Nothing says Christmas like fuzzed-out, wailing rock music. Wait, we’re sorry. Nothing says war on Christmas more than that. (Friday)

5. A weekend of holiday markets awaits you at places like 3rd Ward, Littlefield, Brooklyn Lyceum and more. If you can’t find a gift for someone at these places, we don’t know what to tell you. (Saturday, Sunday)

6. There’s also a craft fair at PS 10 that supports the school, so bring your friends who don’t believe in government-funded schools and tell them to put their money where their mouth is. (Saturday)

8. TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe is helping raise money for PS 84’s hydroponic greenhouse classroom. And you know what they say: get the kids in the greenhouse now, keep them off the streets later. (Saturday)

9. the skint wants to make you sweat to the (jazz) oldies at their Winter Romp. Our brunch expert Sarah Bibi will be there with her photo booth too. (Saturday)

10. Public access television: it’s still around despite Tim and Eric’s best efforts, so people including Chris Gethard are getting together to talk about it. (Saturday)

11. Enjoy a free chicken and waffles brunch at Mangoseed. Wait, WHAT??? (Sunday)

12. If you’re going to send your kid to the Brook Lopez basketball camp, make sure they don’t ask him about his foot. (Sunday)

13. Our buds at the Bushwick Daily are having themselves a holiday party with a photo exhibit and music and they’d love to see your smiling faces. Or you can just have a kind of neutral face, that’s OK too. (Sunday)
