3. It’s Carnivale! at Launchpad. Not like, a Mardi Gras thing though, just a sweet-sounding fundraiser party with music and dancing and homebrew beer (Friday)

4. The Park Slope United Methodist Church book sale kicks off with its pre-weekend sale. Better get their if you want to stumble across that autographed copy of On the Road (Friday – Sunday)

5. Gristle is hosting an art show. So if you see something you really like, you can just sit down and get it tattooed onto you (Saturday)

6. Head to Greenpoint for a Purim celebration! Purim is basically a Jewish Halloween, and it’s a mitzvah (a good deed) to get drunk. Seriously all we can remember from Hebrew school (Saturday)

7. A bunch of rock and roll nerds are having a chiptunes show. That’s music made with video game bleeps and bloops (Saturday)

8. The House of Vans puts the skateboards away for a night and hosts the premiere of a movie made by pro surfers (Saturday)

9. The filthy carnies of the Little Top Circus and Medicine Show are back. The performance should go on until the sheriff can round up a posse to chase off the con artists (Saturday)

10. Take your puppy out for some barely legal playtime. God that sounds dirty (Sunday)

11. If you’ve got photos that were waterlogged by Sandy, today’s the day to get them restored (Sunday)

12. If you can drag your hungover self out of the apartment, there’s a chocolate tasting at Greene Grape Provisions. That should help it! (Sunday)
