Get a free 4th of July bike tune-up from Ride Brooklyn!

Aw, look, the bike is trying to boulder. via Ride Brooklyn’s Facebook

Huzzah, weather for the 4th is slated to be sunny and BBQ-ready! And chances are, you’ve got more than one BBQ to hit up this weekend. Now it’s time to get your two-wheeled commute ready, courtesy of the folks over at Ride Brooklyn! They’re setting up shop at Brooklyn Boulders this Saturday morning, and offering free tune-ups to climbers.

From 11:00am-1:30pm, Ride Brooklyn will be at Brooklyn Boulders (575 Degraw Street) in Carroll Gardens. Boulders is also hosting local eatery Crepes & Juice, so you can get some healthy noms in your system before filling up on beer and burgers all afternoon. You’ll want to get there on the earlier side just to be safe, since a tune-up can take a little while, and there might already be a lineup of hopeful riders by the time you roll up.

It goes without saying that you’ll have to get a day pass to Brooklyn Boulders in order to get to the tune-ups. But that only runs you $22, which is still way cheaper than getting a tune-up at any bike shop. And really, how awesome is that? You get to work out while you wait, then show up to your ‘cues all muscled and dewy alongside a spiffed-up set of wheels. Everyone will giving you some serious 4th of Jul-eyes, if you know what I mean.
