Fun fact: Everything you know and love will one day die. Not that having that information makes the fact any easier to shrug off, but, everyone’s and every thing’s time comes. On the “every thing dies” beat, we now have this animated map from Address Report that marks every single demolition in Brooklyn between 2003 and today, with little red explosions for the demolitions. It’s at least interesting to watch it, from when all of Brooklyn is subsumed by red circles, to the break during the recession, to where it picks right back up. You’d think people would run out of things to knock down, but that won’t happen until our Planet of the Apes future, which we probably won’t live to see anyway. So there’s that bright side.
