Brooklyn foodies are in for a great time, as Dine in Brooklyn is back for 2017, from March 20 to 30.
Borough President Eric Adams stated he hopes the borough-wide restaurant week will encourage Brooklynites to discover a new Brooklyn dish, or fall in love with their favorite Brooklyn food all over again.
“It’s a win-win for those who enjoy eating out with a bunch of friends and for those who are invested in the growth of our local economy. Nothing is more indicative of the transformation in Brooklyn than the various restaurants you see from neighborhood to neighborhood; it truly defines our ‘Brooklyn fusion’,” said Adams.
Here are three of our favorites from this year’s list of more than 80 participating restaurants:
________
Baci and Abbraci, Williamsburg
It’s no secret that Brooklyn’s got great Italian food, and Baci and Abbraci furthers that well-earned reputation. The kitchen makes sure that authenticity is first and foremost – the southern Italian cuisine features handmade pasta, fresh mozzarella, and a wood-burning pizza oven directly from Naples. It’s even Michelin Guide recommended to boot.
________
Butterfunk Kitchen, Windsor Terrace
Butterfunk Kitchen might have a fun name to say, but the food there is no joke. It’s more than just soul food. The barbecue pit serves up classic southern smoked meats like beer-braised brisket and comforting sides like mac and cheese, collard greens, and brown sugar biscuits just add to the many flavors at play on the menu.
________
Miti Miti Modern Mexican, Park Slope
Miti Miti Modern Mexican is a mouthful of “M’s” and it’s also a place you can put down mouthfuls of great food. In addition to an all-day happy hour from Monday to Thursday, there’s a lots of variety on the menu. We’d recommend the chorizo potato tacos, but we’re sure it’ll be a hard decision to pick just one thing after looking over the extensive menu.
________
Dine In Brooklyn 2017 will take place from Monday, March 20 through Thursday, March 30 with prix fixe dinners costing $28, $15 lunch and $12 brunch specials available at eateries across the borough. It’s got its own dedicated website, and you can use the hashtag #DineinBK on social media as you make your culinary travels across the borough.
