NYU Symphony at the NYU Skirball Center

On Monday, April 3 at 8 PM at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, the NYU Symphony will present its annual multi-media exhibition of award-winning compositions by students of the NYU Steinhardt Scoring for Film and Multimedia program and animated films created by students of the NYU Tisch Kanbar Institute of Film and Television.

The program will be conducted by Adam Glaser and will also feature Leonard Bernstein’s iconic Symphonic Dances from West Side Story and an opening work by NYU Steinhardt’s Orchestral Composition Competition winner Alex Symcox entitled Beautifully Falling Apart.

Winners of the NYU Steinhardt Film Scoring Competition whose scores will be performed include George Bjorvik, Ko-Wei Chen, Oren Lok, Pru Montin, and Nick Yeutter. The accompanying animated films include Deep Trouble (Corinne Stein), Goodnight Boon (Jeremy Jensen), Moon (Dan Costales), and Ocean Song (Erica Liu).
