Although this is a time of year filled with excitement, nostalgia, and expectation, it can also bring up a lot of our deepest triggers, stressors and insecurities.
With troublesome family and in-laws, financial strains, and dinner table politics to endless social commitments and gluttony, the holiday season can leave us with an emotional hangover through the darkest months of the year.

Alyssa Friedman-Yan received her Bachelor degree in psychology from NYU and her Masters In Social work from Columbia University. She has also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at the Beck Institute and Gestalt Therapy at the Gestalt Association for Psychotherapy in NYC. Alyssa’s training has focused on relationship counseling, sex counseling, infertility support, and postpartum work, and everyday struggles with anxiety and depression that so many face.
