Let Us Taste the Olive Oil with a Mr. Rolando Beramendi

Rolando Beramendi is coming to Archestratus! Join author, importer, and connoisseur of the finest ingredients from Italy as he chats it up with Archestratus owner, Paige Lipari, about all things Italian olive oil.

We will all be tasting an array of artisan olive oils, imported from our beloved Manicaretti, including Tonda, a harmonious sensory experience. It is soft and buttery, with a fresh, tomato aroma and fruity flavor; ColleMassari, an elegantly spicy and fruity blend with hints of wild herbs, nutty hazelnut, and artichoke; Laudemio, “the perfect finishing oil,” which has classic aromas of Tuscany: scents of freshly mown grass, followed by artichoke heart and green olive notes; Crudo, a spectacularly spicy and pleasantly bitter monocultivar oil made from Ogliarola olives; and the decidedly herbacious Titone, “Drink it by the spoonful every single day—it’s a magical potion!” raves Rolando!

Tickets include a tasting of these many fine olive oils, plus a cheesy bread with greens (Fettunta col Cavolo Nero) from the Autentico Cookbook by Rolando Beramendi, and nice bites of Archestratus olive oil cake.

Manicaretti Olive Oils and signed copies of Autentico: Cooking Italian, the Authentic Way will be available for purchase during the event.
