Jewish Comic Con

Nov 13, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Jewish Comic Con shakes up historic Brooklyn Synagogue on November 13, 2016!

Brooklyn, New York – September 9, 2016 – The first ever Jewish Comic Con will be making its debut November 13th at Congregation Kol Israel, a historic Brooklyn synagogue located at 603 St Johns Place. The event, organized in conjunction with the Brooklyn Jewish Art Gallery, will feature artist tables and panel discussions that explore how Jewish identity has influenced comics, both on the page and behind the scenes.

“This con gives fans a chance to explore the unique contribution by early Jewish creators and how Jewish themes continue to influence comics today. It’s NOT a Jew-Centric con though. It’s really for everyone who loves comics and wants to support that incredible medium. The fact that it takes place in a synagogue adds a special flavor to it! ”, says Fabrice Sapolsky, comic book creator (Spider Man Noir, Intertwined) and curator of the Con.

A preview night celebration will kick off the event, at 8 pm on Saturday, November 12th. Attendees will get a unique a chance to mingle with artists and fellow fans. An auction to benefit CKI restoration fund of original graphic art donated by our guests will take place.

The con itself will take place from 9 am to 6.30 pm on Sunday, November 13th.
