Female Joker. A 4 hour emotional journey into a theatrical production as Jadda the clown transforms into multiple characters. She transforms her face and costume as part of the act, altering states between human and a living sculpture. She uses simple tools such as paint, glitter, silly string, makeup, plastic wrap, balloons, paper, and collaged imagery, and turns herself into intense sculptural creations that live breathe as art. She makes puppets and toys as her backup villains. There is nothing like what Jadda is doing in NY as she takes performance art into a deep trance like level, as if you’re watching a very vivid dream.
The Joker has always been a male role, but it’s time for a female to take the part. This is the Joker in 4D staring at you and changing your perspective on theater, performance, and live art. Don’t worry, Jadda’s Joker isn’t about mental health or the crisis of America… Or is it? This is fun night in a chair staring at wonderful transformative art.
Jadda works side by side with her partner Michael Alan. They bring you back to a time period in NY when art was raw, mom and pop, and down a side street. Art in America has changed. This is a refreshing non-snobby view into grassroots do-it-yourself creative freedom. Watch at home from your tele, share it with your children, or come over to their wacky studio and make a new friend. Wake up the next day with a tarantula in your pocket.
If you’re tired of fancy art ass kissing this would be for you. If you’re looking for a posh experience then this is not for you. This is an authentic experience. Help keep NYC punk going! Feel free to donate as we are not sponsored, represented, and we run only by ourselves and Pirate the Cat but she requires special treats. Meow.
