Chakula NYC presents a Charity Brunch & Silent Auction Benefiting CAMBA Magnolia Women’s Shelter

March 12 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

In honor of Women’s History Month, Chakula Catering NYC will be hosting a ‘Charity Brunch & Silent Auction’ to benefit CAMBA – Magnolia House Women’s Shelter.

Although the percentage of homelessness has decreased nationally, there has been an approximate 40% increase in New York City in the past 10 years. Conditions are especially grim for women and even more so for women who are accompanied by their children. You can help by attending this benefit.
Along with supporting the Magnolia Women’s Shelter and the thousands of women they serve, guests will experience live music performed by guitarist Rafael Rosa, a set from DJ GoodWill, a youth ensemble dance piece from the Lotus Creations Academy of Performing Arts, curated works of art celebrating the power of women, a LIVE painting as part of the silent auction and more. Chakula Catering NYC’s founder and chef, Khalilah Coombs, will be serving delectable brunch classics with African and Caribbean twists, along side delicious unlimited assorted mimosas and spiced sorrel sangrias. The silent auction will include items generously provided by local Brooklyn-based businesses. This event will take place in The Living Gallery – a Bedford-Stuyvesant/Bushwick venue with a mission to unite people and inspire communication and understanding through the arts.
If you are looking for a meaningful way to contribute during Women’s History Month, and can appreciate an immersive brunch with a purpose, this is the event for you! Tickets are priced at $30 and proceeds will go to CAMBA Magnolia House Women’s Shelter.
Come take part in this amazing experience!
