April 9 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

$16 - $25

Guest conductor David Bernard, music director of the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony, will lead the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra in a program of spectacular musical storytelling. Igor Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite is based on a Russian folk legend in which a magical Firebird helps a young prince to break the spell of an ogre. Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade brings to life the fantastical figures of the Arabian Nights and their captivating storyteller. BSO co-concertmaster Hannah Finkelberg is featured as the “voice” of Scheherazade.
