If you’re anything like the staff at Brokelyn, you’ve spent the summer tweeting excitedly about all the free music around town. We’ve been getting down @ the Jelly parties on the waterfront, but we always find ourselves opening our wallets again for music more and more as the autumn air rolls in.
Well, friends, it seems that free food isn’t the only thing you can get out of Twitter: Brooklyn Bowl is offering you a chance to keep that summer concert vibe alive and win passes to an entire year of concerts.
The social media contest NYC Summer Music Junkie lets you you earn points by tweeting, checking in and posting photos toward big prizes. At the end of the summer, the person with the most points will be dubbed the Summer Music Junkie and win a pass to year’s worth of shows at Brooklyn Bowl.
All you have to do is join SuperGlued (yes, there’s a free app for that) and earn points for essentially helping promote their shows, by doing things like checking in on Foursquare, stealing (and posting) setlists and writing blog reviews. Even if you don’t snag the grand prize, you can holler @ a CMJ badge or spin a guest DJ sesh on East Village Radio. Not too shabby.
