No matter the forecast, it is currently spring, and thus returns the Greenpointers Spring Market, celebrating the season with free thangs, yummy thangs, and all the cool shit money can buy. If you’re not a fan of spring (due to allergies, a hatred of dampness, a nostalgia for winter, etc.) at least come out for Earth Day. Lord knows our planet needs some love.
There will be live music, two sessions of by donation rooftop yoga by Hosh Yoga (the first session will be at 2pm, the second at 4pm), a “earthy lush” photo booth made from recycled materials by local artists, free nail art, face painting, hair wraps, massages and henna tattoos.
In terms of eats and drank there’ll be mezcal Paloma cocktails, craft beer from Greenpoint Beer & Ale Co., Hungarian wine and fresh brews from Cafe Grumpy.
The vendors run the gamut, from book sellers to local soap and chocolate companies, jewelry makers, candle hawkers, pizza, honey and more.
Last but not least, the venue has a gorgeous view of Manhattan (and everyone knows the best way to experience the city is by looking at it from Brooklyn).
The Market will take place this Sunday, April 9th, from 1 to 7pm at Greenpoint Loft on 67 West St. RSVP here, and it’s free entry.
