The Gowanus Whole Foods is slowly but surely taking shape, and now that they’ve got their hiring out of the way, it’s time for them to start giving out more exciting news. For instance, your grocery shopping is about to get a little hazier, because the store is going to have a rooftop bar to go along with its rooftop farm. Man, Urban Outfitters must be pissed.Eater talked to a Whole Foods rep who said that the bar will have 16 beers on tap, canned and bottled beer, plus plenty of bar snacks from Brooklyns Brine and Cured, in case you wanted options for how your food soaked before you ate it. So finally, you don’t need to get drunk at your apartment before you go shopping. Which sounds great of course, until you blackout while you’re there and spend $200 on kale, cheese and chocolate.
