Dream job alert: Be the associate producer for WNYC’s Studio 360

If you could suggest good questions to ask Ben Stiller, we’ve got the job for you. via Facebook

Find yourself winning all of the pop culture trivia events you go to in the city? Are you plugged in to culture that your friends consider you their own personal Pitchfork/Vulture/AV Club hybrid? First, get better friends, they’re just using you. Second, put that pop culture knowledge to work for you by applying for this job to be an associate producer at WNYC’s Studio 360 with Kurt Andersen, WNYC’s premier pop culture and arts show.

If Kurt Andersen sounds familiar to you, it’s because he’s the co-founder of that irreverent rag Spy, so you can rest assured that you won’t be helping kiss celebrity ass. As an associate producer, your plate will be pretty full anyway, doing things like pitching ideas for segments, pitching guests and doing background research on them, writing scripts and not brutally screwing up their social media feeds.

Aside from having the aforementioned encyclopedic arts and pop culture knowledge, WNYC is looking for someone with great writing skills and some experience working with talented famous people. We think that one is mostly so that you don’t meet Ben Stiller and blurt something out like “I LOVED you in Tower Heist!” Or in our case, it’d be more like, “Greenberg was trash and you should be ashamed of yourself.” Anyway, apply for the job so you can tell your family you’re doing something with your life while you live here.
