Academy Records closed and moved to Greenpoint, as we all know, because Williamsburg is over. But just like when you move, they left lot of crap behind that they didn’t really want, except in their case, it’s hundreds of records instead of a bedbug-infested couch. Gothamist has pictures of the destruction they got from a tipster, who said a cleaning crew is taking out all the records, which seem in decent shape, and just tossing them. So if you want to dig through the trash pile on North 6th between Berry and Wythe, it’s all yours. Just get there before it rains and the records get all gross.
