I’ve been out of work since being laid off from my job back in September, and I’m trying my hardest to come up with creative ways to make a little cash. Today I’m having a sort of help-me-stay-in-NY-and-support-my-kid-by-buying-my-shit / party / bakesale / funday.

The sale is in Williamsburg on Saturday, August 8th, from 10 AM – 7 PM, and is located at 315 Berry Street, Apt 208.  (btn S. 3rd and S. 4 Streets) .

There are so many other things, a whole lifetime of stuff, really, ready to be passed on to you. I may consider selling one of my favorite possessions—an amazing Emmi Whitehorse litho called “Drift”—it means a great deal to me, but I might be convinced. It was purchased for $1600.

ALSO- I’m having a simultaneous sample sale of my Melifera line—which consists of my hand-embroidered clothing- sweatshirts, tshirts, and bags, all at a discount!!! (www.melifera.etsy.com) .

Even if you’re not in a position to purchase anything, please come hang out for a bit. In keeping with my poverty-stricken theme, this will be a BYOB party, and who knows, it may also turn into a bake sale. Anyone wanting to contribute, let me know!

Good luck, Melissa.
