The Brooklyn Bridge Park Pop-Up Pool opens for swimming business today!

It’s summer, which means of course that it’s hot, damn hot. So hot that we want to hang out at Brooklyn Bridge Park and we want to swim, but we don’t have time to wait for the +POOL. Fortunately, there’s a better solution to just being hot and waiting, and that’s the Brooklyn Bridge Park Pop-Up Pool, which opens for business (swim business) today at 10am. Why are you still reading this? Run down there to the pool!

The Pop-Up Pool will be open daily from 10am until 6pm, starting today, with wristbands given out for 45 minute swim sessions starting at 10am, then every hour from 10:30am to 4:30pm, starting at 10:30am. The pool is located just beyond Pier 2, near the Greenway. Like last year, even if you’re not swimming, you can hang out at the pool and watch other people frolic (and be kind of jealous we guess), while you wait for a chance to get a swimming pass. You’ll also be able to drink Lizzmonade lemonade during the day, and then booze like sangria and beer from 6pm to 11pm. So OK, if you insisted on reading everything down to here, we’re done now. Go swim.
