An enormous bagel party is coming to Greenpoint this Friday, February 9th, which also so happens to be National Bagel and Lox Day.
Acme Smoked Fish Corp. – known for distributing their beloved product to individual consumers at wholesale prices every Friday morning – wants to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest bagel and lox sandwich ever recorded. Friday, the smoked fish purveyor will host a public event at their facility on 30 Gem Street, where Acme co-CEO Adam Caslow and Zucker’s Bagels shop founder Matt Pomerantz will construct a massive sandwich in front of the masses.
From their very proud press release:
The companies will follow the rules set forth by the Guinness Book in order to set the record, and the sandwich will be carefully constructed and weighed before it is cut and distributed to the crowd. The sandwich will follow the Zucker’s Traditional sandwich recipe, with an oversized Everything Bagel, Cream Cheese, Acme’s Nova Scotia Smoked Salmon, Tomatoes, Red Onions and Capers.
The mouthwatering event will begin at noon. Prepare accordingly.
