“Affordable” apartments are few and far between in the borough, so every time they pop up it’s a big deal. DNAinfo is reporting that more than 100 new and renovated affordable (as in, actually affordable) apartments are now accepting applications, with rents as low as $494 (!!) for a waterfront studio in Greenpoint. Other apartments are available in Bushwick, Williamsburg, East New York, Bed-Stuy and East Williamsburg, but the deadlines are fast approaching.
The applications are due pretty soon: 21 Commercial St. in Greenpoint, where you can get yourself a nice studio overlooking the water for less than a brand new XBOX One is due on Feb. 3. And of course there are income qualifications you must meet too.
As for the other apartments, where you can finally get that one bedroom you’ve always wanted for less than $900 or grab the few people you still like in this city and move to a three bedroom for less than $1,500 is due on Feb. 4.
See DNAinfo’s roundup for more details on the apartments, prices and deadlines.
Don’t sleep (we mean this, it’s the afternoon already, wake up) and miss out on this opportunity.
