Apartment hunt: post-hurripocalypse edition

Yesterday we told you about housing resources for folks displaced by Hurricane Sandy. If you escaped her wrath but are still in the market for a new place, here’s a few good deals from the Brokelyn Real Estate listings.

• First up, we found a 2BR in “true” Prospect Heights for $2,000. According to the broker, who admits that it sounds too good to be true, the apartment is equipped with a washer/dryer in the unit and it’s just a block away from Vanderbilt. With one master suite and one smaller room, the space would work for a share or a couple with a small child. Cats are welcome.

• This 3BR in Fort Greene is wildly underpriced at $2,100. Details are vague about specific location and layout, but it appears from the photos to be a brownstone building with hardwood floors [ed. note: photos are of comparable apartment in the building, not of actual unit that is availalbe]. At that price, it’s worth a call to the broker for more info.

•  At only $1,700 with a location near 17th Street and Prospect Park west, this South Slope/Windsor Terrace 2BR will be gone in a flash. The kitchen and bathroom have skylights, so we’re thinking this is a top floor unit. Heat, hot water  and gas are included in rent.

•  Finally there’s this spacious 2BR near Greenwood Cemetery for $1,700. It looks bright and clean and has a ton of cabinet space in the kitchen. Plus you can moonlight as a haunted cemetery tour guide, which would be a super awesome job. Just don’t bring any Civil War ghosts home with you.
