Can you believe it’s only (almost) June? We skipped spring and scooted right into summer weather, But you can’t just start lazing around, kiddo! Your lease is up soon. You gotta move, remember? As per usual, Brokelyn is making it easy for you. This week’s apartments feature beautiful, sprawling boxes to call home, in locations we never thought we’d see again for a brokester’s price range. Let’s check ’em out, shall we?
Holy god, it’s a five-bedroom apartment in Clinton Hill. On the border, anyway. For just $720 per person, you and four tolerable roommates can be the first tenants in this new development on Lefferts Place. Two bathrooms. Natural light & gleaming hardwood by day, video intercom and much-needed A/C in every room (!) by night. Shared yard access and a washer/dryer somewhere in there. Pets are allowed, too, so if your dog can pay the rent, she can have her own room. Off the Franklin C/S.

That was the only behemoth-sized dwelling, but we’ve still got a bunch of four-bedrooms worth checking out. Like this one, at the southern border of Prospect-Lefferts Gardens! It’s only $2,475 (which evens out at $618.75 per person). Prewar finishing, hardwood. There’s a sex joke in there somewhere. Vaulted ceilings, private backyard, French windows like the above and a charming tolerance for pets. The price apparently makes the agent “wonder why you’re still reading this rather than calling me to set up an appointment to view :).” Off the 2/5 at Church.

There ain’t no party like a no-fee party! Yep, this 4-bedroom apartment in Bed-Stuy is listed at-cost. For $3000, so not too shabby—especially because of this size. $750 apiece rents you this friggin’ massive apartment. Separate living room, separate dining room… it’s even got another side-room you can turn into a home office. High ceilings and hardwood throughout, dishwasher and microwave in the kitchen. Closets are already “plentiful,” so you might not even have to shop for clothes. And all the windows let in “natural sunlight,” so thank goodness you won’t have to contend with the artificial stuff. Off the Utica A/C, and close to the J at Gates/Halsey.

Just a little ways south of the above, you can call Crown Heights home instead with this corner unit 4-bedroom for $2,500. It’s no-fee, too! $625 per roomie gets you into this prewar spot. Enjoy that old hardwood, but also fancy steel appliances like a microwave. You know, from the Colonial era. Apparently you can pay your rent with a credit card. Pets-allowed is listed as an amenity twice. Either that’s a biblical reference, or somebody should hail this listing a cab. In any case, go see the apartment. Between the Kingston 3 and the Utica 3/4/5.

Here’s a cheap deal in Flatbush. We’ve got a $2,100 3-bedroom apartment with 1.5 bathrooms. Again, with the long hallways. It’s really big! Private terrace, a kitchen with ample cabinetry, and a separate living room that gets the light from the sliding terrace doors. Also, all these red floors. No more wine stains at parties, amirite? And sure, it’s at the end of the train line, but that also means it’s right next to Target. All your needs are forever met! Off the 2/5 at Brooklyn College.

Another apartment slightly farther out. This $1,900 3-bedroom is in Bensonhurst/Dyker Heights, and takes up the entire top floor of a 2-unit building. Lots of natural light, a living room, and certainly the peace and quiet of this residential area. No pets, but as much other stuff as you want, since there’s lots of closet space, counter space and space in general. Off the 79 St. D.

Guys, I know. I’m sorry. I couldn’t for the life of me do anything reasonable to un-pixelate this photo, because the listing used tiny Borrowers-sized image files. But I’m still going to tell you about the apartment. By god, I’m still going to tell you about it, because it’s in my neighborhood and it’s cheap. It’s a floor-through, 3.5 bedroom at the Clinton Hill/Bed-Stuy border for $2,500. So even if a fourth roommate pays less, it’d make rent less than $800 apiece. Eat-in kitchen, lots of sunlight, and you’ll just have to see the rest for yourself. I’m excited for you. We’re gonna be neighbors. Off the Bedford-Nostrand G.
