‘Always Sunny’ star soliciting scripts from unknowns

Finally, your script where you and Day Man are best friends will be seen by someone

Have you been spending time in a coffee shop pecking away at a screenplay, feeling hopeful and proud? Have you also barely been supressing the fear that no one will end up reading the damn thing once your done with it? Especially not a famous person? Well, before you get a catering job at some swanky entertainment affair and try to stuff your script in someone’s hamburger, try going through a different route: snail mail. Specifically, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Glenn Howerton’s mailbox.

Splitsider shares the news that Howerton took to Twitter asking hopeful screenwriters out there to send him scripts, either features or pilots in any genre except for horror. We commend Howerton for this act of bravery, considering it could literally get him buried under a mountain of Always Sunny fan fiction and similarly bad scripts. Except he probably has an intern pick up the mail for him, like you do when you’re famous. And don’t think you can just keep inundating the man with your wisdom: you can only send him one script for consideration, so maybe leave the one about you go to Philadelphia and you’re super funny and everyone high fives you, at home. If you think you’ve got a winner though, fire it off to: IASIP 10201 W PICO BLVD BUILDING 41 SUITE 300 LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA 90064-2651.

And if your script is accepted, we’d like a five percent finder’s fee for letting you know about this, because we want to act like Hollywood big shots.
