1. Answer the door for Ding Dong, It’s the Ocean, a story about an art collective speculating over the end of the world as they realize they’re actually living in the play that they’re building about our planet’s ailing oceans. (Fri-Sun, JACK, $18)

2. Be inspired by Yo-Yo Ma & Maria Popova in a lively performance and conversation series in which they share their passion for music and explore ideas, making surprising connections, plus an audience Q&A. (Friday, National Sawdust, $25)

3. Smells like blue suede shoes at Elvana: Elvis Fronted Nirvana, who will play through Nirvana’s catalogue whilst splicing in grunged up sections of Elvis’ finest rockabilly moments, culminating in a mega mash up, with Dum Cheeta: Def Leppard Tribute opening. (Friday, Saint Vitus Bar, $12-15)

4. Hang out with some crawdads at Swamp in the City, a Cajun music and dance festival that celebrates the traditional music, culture, and cuisine of Southwest Louisiana. 6. Pretend you’re aristocracy at the Royal Wedding and sip on fancy teas sourced from around the world while watching the nuptials from start to finish. (Saturday, The Williamsburg Hotel, FREE)
