Ginger’s (Park Slope)
363 5th Ave

For anyone in the south Brooklyn area, this is the perfect gay bar for people who identify as lesbians or nonbinary femmes. It’s a wood-paneled spot with pool, karaoke, bingo, drag, and more.

Bossa Nova Civic Club (Bushwick)
1271 Myrtle Avenue

Bossa Nova is known for its dancing, and is also noted for its playlists. Check the bar’s Facebook page to see what’s on the music menu any given evening. How can you not love a bar that describes itself as “tropical techno cocktail bar?”

Excelsior (Park Slope)

This gay bar has been in existence for over 20 years, and has a dance space and an outdoor patio.

Happyfun Hideaway (Bushwick)

This bar welcome everyone, LGBTQ+ or not, but has an LGBTQ+ focus. The best part? The comfort food menu and late hours (they’re open until 4 a.m.).

House of Yes (Williamsburg)
2 Wyckoff Avenue

This space is a venue that holds huge dance parties that has anything from cinema to acrobatic events to drag. This is definitely a creative, queer artistic environment where anything goes.

Metropolitan (Williamsburg)

This is a well-known gay bar for people who identify as gay men and nonbinary mascs with a back garden, late nights, and free afternoon barbecues with $12 pitchers of beer from June through October.

Macri Park (Williamsburg)
462 Union Avenue

Macri Park is a smaller sister space to Metropolitan, decorate with red velvet wallpaper, hosts drag shows, barbecues on Sunday, and “Queeraoke” on Tuesdays, arts and crafts on Saturday afternoons. There’s also a back patio, pool table, and more.

Mood Ring (Bushwick)

Who doesn’t love an astrology-themed bar? This is a bar focusing on gender fluidity and the art scene, and hosts dance parties on the weekends. Their Gucci Belt cocktail is definitely a must.

Xstasy Bar & Lounge (Sunset Park)
758 5th Avenue

This LGBTQ+ bar has cheap drink specials, with a $5 beers and cocktails happy hour. There’s also bingo, karaoke, go-go boys. On Friday and Saturday nights, don’t miss the dance parties.

3 Dollar Bill (Williamsburg/Bushwick)
