Free yoga in the park is far away, but Williamsburg’s Metropolitan Recreation Center gives you an interim option: free yoga classes so new that neither its website nor phone system provides any info. A certified instructor teaches the class five days a week, and they even provide mats. Bring yoga clothes, a lock for the lockers and a photo ID; Bloomberg takes care of the rest. Days/times listed below. This might be one of the burg’s best-kept secrets, so the glory of free mats and small class sizes could be yours.

Tues: 8:30am-10:00am, 6:30pm-8:00pm
Wed: 6:30pm-8:00pm
Thurs: 6:30pm-8:00pm
Fri: 9:00am-10:30am
