Weekend apartment hunt: 7 affordable places for your list

Fully furnished and so homey!

What a beautiful day for a new apartment! Our Brooklyn apartment listings are busting with new places — we just got about 150 of them from Fillmore — so today’s Awesome Cheap Apartment roundup theme is good new stuff. (What will we think of next?) First up is perfect for people who hate moving! Have a stoop sale or put all your stuff in storage and move into one of the fully furnished rooms in this private Kensington home for only $600/month.

•  This 2BR brownstone apartment in Bed Stuy is only $1,200/month and has a kitchen with new stainless steel appliances. (See the blue plastic coverings?) I smell dinner parties.

•  At $1550/month for a 3BR, today’s cheapest-per-bedroom place is in Bushwick, one block from the Nostrand Ave. A/C train with exposed brick, hardwood floors (though we agree that the kitchen floor looks like, er, vintage linoleum), and a jacuzzi tub! Hope it’s not a Hot Tub Time Machine…

•  Pay only $1,575/month for this 2BR apartment in Bath Beach. (Never been there, but the beach part sounds nice.) Steps from transit, private balcony, in-unit washer dryer and likely the only apartment in all of Broketown with granite floors!?

•  Hey Pratt students, here’s a deal on a 2BR in Clinton Hill for only $1650/month with nice big closets. Skip the library and study in your birthday suit on your own couch instead!

•  Here are two nice, arguably affordable options for couples ready to take the cohabitation leap. Location, location, location, right? This cozy looking 1BR on 1st Place in Carroll Gardens for $1875/month is a pretty good deal.

• But go a few more stops on the G and you could live in this GIGANTIC 1BR in Fort Greene for $1900. It’s so nice I had to use two pics. Anyone in the market for a live-in girlfriend?
